Top of the Rock (and at the bottom)

The Wollman rink in Central park was closed because of the snow.  Although the tractor was on the ice starting to clear the snow we thought best to skate at the Rockerfella centre.

 Ga Ga Girls on ice.

Hmmm Which way now?

 Top of the Rock

73 floors up looking south to Lower Manhattan with the Empire state building clearly visible.

(Katie said she was scared of heights!........... really)

Chrysler building and the Met Life building

Lower Manhattan showing, centre Empire state building, far background is Staten Island, to the right Statue of liberty and to the left the Brooklyn bridge which we will be walking on Wednesday.

Looking north, far distance is Harlem, Centre is Central park covered in snow and frozen lakes.
A rather scared looking Emily.  She came to the top perching in the middle.  Didn't try the observation deck but still got up there.  Well done Emily.
Looking to the south west this is the Hudson river with New Jersey in the background.  Just left of centre is the bright lights of a Toshiba advert in Times Square.
